By downloading, installing, or using DON'T FOLD. ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What This App Is

DON'T FOLD. is an emotional self-regulation and relationship empowerment tool. It helps you stay grounded when you feel triggered, anxious, or reactive.

The app is not a medical device, licensed therapist, counselor, or crisis service. The AI chat feature provides peer-style emotional support only and is not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or go to your nearest emergency room.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. Users between 13 and 17 must have parental or guardian consent. By using the app, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile screen.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the app to harass, threaten, or harm yourself or others.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, copy, or resell any part of the app.
Use the app to generate or distribute harmful, abusive, or illegal content.
Provide false information when creating or maintaining your account.
Interfere with or disrupt the app's servers or infrastructure.

5. AI-Generated Content

The AI ("The Girlfriend") generates responses automatically. Responses may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your specific situation. We are not responsible for any decisions you make based on AI-generated content. Always apply your own judgment.

6. Your Content

Behavior logs, journal entries, and other content you create in the app remain yours. By saving content in the app, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and display it solely for the purpose of operating the service for you. We do not use your personal content for any other purpose.

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or use the app in any way that could harm other users or the integrity of the service. You may delete your own account at any time from the Profile screen.

8. App Availability

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the app or any of its features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes. We are not liable for any interruption or discontinuation of service.

9. Intellectual Property

The app, its design, branding, and all content created by us are owned by DON'T FOLD. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DON'T FOLD. and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.

13. Apple App Store — Additional Terms

If you downloaded this app from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:

These Terms are between you and DON'T FOLD. only — not with Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property infringement claims.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of the app after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
