This Privacy Policy explains what information DON'T FOLD. ("we", "our", or "us") collects, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

Email address (required for all sign-in methods).
Display name and profile photo — only if you sign in with Google or Apple and those providers share them with us.
A unique user ID assigned by Firebase Authentication.

Content you create

Behavior log entries — the behavior categories you select and any notes you add. This is personal emotional and relationship data. We treat it as sensitive.
Mission completions — which missions you have marked as done.

Device preferences (stored locally only)

Your selected AI tone (e.g., "Brutal Best Friend") is saved on your device only using your browser's local storage. It is not sent to our servers.

Advertising measurement data

The app includes the Meta (Facebook) Core SDK, which collects a device advertising identifier, basic device information, and app events such as installation and app launches. See Section 5 for details.

Crash reports & usage analytics

Firebase Crashlytics — if the app crashes, a crash report (device model, OS version, and the technical state of the app at the moment of the crash) is sent to us so we can find and fix the bug.
Firebase Analytics — aggregate usage events such as app installs, app opens, and session counts, together with general device information. We use automatic collection only: we do not log which screens you visit or the content of anything you write.

What we do NOT collect

We do not track which screens you visit inside the app or the content of what you do there.
We do not collect location data, contacts, or financial information.
AI chat messages are not stored by us (see Section 4).

2. How We Use Your Information

To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
To store and display your behavior logs and mission completions across your devices.
To personalize the AI chat experience based on your selected tone (processed locally — not sent to our servers).
To diagnose crashes and understand aggregate usage (e.g., how many people open the app) so we can improve stability and the product.

We do not sell your data. The content you create in the app — behavior logs, mission completions, and chat messages — is never used for advertising or behavioral profiling, and is never shared with advertising partners. The only advertising-related data we handle is the limited device data described in Section 5, used to measure our own ad campaigns.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your account and app data is stored in Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), operated by Google LLC. Data is held in Google's US-based infrastructure and protected by Google's enterprise security controls.

Google's privacy policy governs their processing of your data: policies.google.com/privacy.

4. AI Chat

The AI chat feature ("The Girlfriend") sends your messages to Base44 (base44.com), our AI service provider, to generate a response. Your messages are processed in real time and are not stored in our database. We do not retain your chat history on our servers. Please review Base44's privacy policy for details on their data handling.

Do not share passwords, financial details, or medically sensitive information in the chat.

The AI is not a therapist or mental health professional and does not provide medical advice. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

5. Advertising & Install Attribution (Meta SDK)

To measure the performance of our own app-install advertising campaigns, the app includes the Meta (Facebook) Core SDK. When you install or open the app, this SDK automatically shares limited technical data with Meta Platforms, Inc.:

A device advertising identifier (e.g., Google Advertising ID on Android).
Basic device and app information (device model, OS version, app version).
App events such as installation and app launches.

We use this data solely to understand whether our ads led to app installs and to improve how our ads are delivered. What is never shared with Meta: your behavior log entries, AI chat messages, email address, name, or any content you create in the app.

Meta processes this data under its own privacy policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Your choices:

Android — you can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in Settings → Privacy → Ads.
iOS — the app does not request cross-app tracking permission. Install attribution on iOS uses Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork, which reports aggregate campaign results without identifying you or your device.

6. Third-Party Sign-In (Google & Apple)

When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive only what those providers share: your email, name, and profile photo. We do not receive your Google or Apple password. Your sign-in data is subject to their respective privacy policies.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your data — including behavior logs, mission completions, and your user profile — is permanently and immediately deleted from our systems. This action cannot be undone.

8. Your Rights

Edit or delete individual behavior log entries — available in the app under Log → My Entries.
Delete your account and all data — available at any time from the Profile screen in the app.
Data export or correction requests — contact us at contact@khenitech.com.
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you may also have rights to access, rectify, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data under GDPR.
If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the CCPA including the right to know what data is collected and to request deletion.

9. Children

The app is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at contact@khenitech.com and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when features change or legal requirements evolve. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
